00:12 tickets and all that jazz right and we
00:16 get this problem a lot where um
00:18 basically someone emails in a problem
00:21 and they're like hey this isn't working
00:23 it was working yesterday I have no clue
00:26 what I did um I don't think I changed
00:29 anything and it's not working right so
00:33 let's go ahead I'm gonna jump in show
00:36 you how I troubleshooted this particular
00:39 problem um and hopefully you guys can we
00:42 can kind of talk about generics of
00:44 solving problems right so let's go ahead
00:47 and jump in rap Weaver so here we are in
00:51 rapidweaver and I have this page and
00:55 essentially what's going on is the
00:57 content of these tabs aren't showing
00:58 it's like what the hell it's not showing
01:01 right okay so this is the project I got
01:04 okay and essentially when we're
01:07 troubleshooting something we need to
01:09 simplify okay um so first off I'm going
01:13 to go ahead and unhide these things okay
01:16 and will notice that these things are
01:18 partials okay well I'm going to
01:21 unparallel equation okay I'm just going
01:25 to move site styles up here none of this
01:28 top bar stuff has anything to do with
01:30 the problem gang and I I'm going to
01:32 trash that um I'm gonna unpack this
01:36 partial okay I don't have Magellan on
01:39 the page I'm going to get rid of that
01:40 okay um so now I'm down to just the crux
01:44 of of the page now chances are you're
01:47 going to want to create a duplicate of
01:49 this page right not modify your existing
01:51 pages okay problem still exists what WTF
01:55 right let's go ahead and I'm going to
01:58 add the tabs outside of this so right
02:02 now i have just site styles and tabs
02:05 okay well it's preview boom whoa here we
02:11 go so i actually have
02:13 dent in my tabs now okay so that means
02:15 the problem and this the contents in
02:18 this tab is huge so I'm just going to hi
02:20 back just to make it simple okay so the
02:23 problem is something here write
02:26 something in here okay so it's probably
02:30 not this header so let's go ahead and
02:32 get rid of that header let's preview
02:34 boom problem still exists okay problem
02:38 still exists um okay let's take let's
02:42 take this panel stack outside whoa boom
02:48 the problem is the problems fixed okay
02:51 so definitely the problem is with this
02:53 structure stack what the heck is with
02:55 this structure stack okay um let's go
02:58 ahead and just to make sure i'm going to
03:00 go ahead and put the tabs inside the
03:02 structure okay preview and boom it is
03:08 definitely that structure stack what is
03:11 going on here so if we look at the
03:14 settings for this structure stack okay
03:17 um let's go ahead and oh look the
03:21 structure is set to summary okay now I
03:24 wouldn't expect everyone to know this
03:25 but recently html5 dot one was released
03:29 as a candidate and I think Safari and
03:31 WebKit kind of adopted that and by
03:34 default summary contents like has
03:37 something to do with it hides some
03:38 things by default now so in structure if
03:42 we just change that to the default which
03:43 is a div okay um we'll see Oh boom check
03:49 this out right it is working okay so I'm
03:55 not going to go into all why this
03:56 structure thing was set to summary the
03:59 whole point of this is to help you guys
04:01 troubleshoot okay um simplify right
04:07 create a new page copy the one thing ok
04:12 that is broken does it work chances are
04:15 does right because something like
04:18 default like the tabs stack okay it
04:23 definitely has it definitely works right
04:26 obviously
04:27 the tab stack works by default okay so
04:30 it's something else on the page causing
04:32 it okay so hope you enjoyed this quick

04:37 this problem right crazy simplification
04:40 of everything I got it down to just the
04:43 tabs I noticed it worked and then I
04:45 started going backwards and figuring out
04:48 where things were busted okay so
04:51 hopefully this helps you out um and
04:55 allows you to fix your problems yourself
