00:42 how does this work beginning with right this is as joe said built with foundation 6 total cms and vibracar pro stocks among other stocks that you can find in the
00:54 necessary stocks list of course but the main ones are those and the entire magic of this project file um so as you see as we can see here we
01:06 have uh like the feature products right that we can manage and select from our store nice animations um i i'll actually stop in this uh in this section right here because it
01:19 kind of give us what mercury can do right uh so we have of course the e-commerce side of it and what you can do is sell digital and physical product uh
01:32 accept payments from uh of course try paypal and manage order taxes shipments if you collect taxes of course you can do that um manage discounts and uh yeah manage everything from a fantastic
01:46 admin area that we're gonna check it out in a second um and if e-commerce with no monthly fee it's not a good enough punch line for you uh
01:58 there are many other things in here uh such as a review system uh that i know joe uh is uh very excited to talk about and uh a
02:11 full seo control over your website and your product pages right uh as well as the blog of course uh email template and this is another cool thing that kind of goes under the hood but
02:24 it's it's really cool uh we'll check that out in a second too uh it also comes with a set of stocks um of course to build this project right uh you do need vibra car pro stocks and
02:37 those stocks have been um i've been in contact with adrian and as joe said that there have been um inputs from the entire community to inputs from the entire community to build this project it does fit kind of a
02:49 community project because uh uh scott definitely uh helped actually the idea of the project file kind of come from scott and uh joe helped out and adrian helped out so there's a lot of people involved into
03:03 making this project a thing right and so it comes with the um vibracar pro stocks included uh in the price of the of the of the project file and uh you will find them in the same in the
03:18 folder when you download the project also it also comes with this vibracar to total cms stock built by scott and then with some joe's input uh and and what that does it see it's a
03:33 it simply moves data from uh vibra car to total cms in the background without you having to worry about anything and but once again uh by the end of this live stream i'm sure we're going to upload
03:47 a new product so you can you can see the entire system in action there and of course a blog right because um what better tools do we have to boost the seo of our
04:00 uh of our website if not a blog so i think this is a pretty uh good overview of what we can do with mercury um now maybe we start talking about each

05:03 fresh and a nice light box that allows us to look in our entire store right and this is really convenient especially if you have a bigger store uh with a lot of products into it um
05:16 yeah this is really convenient and it displays automatically all the tags and categories you applied uh to any project on the store so if let's say i wanted to uh check i don't know only chairs i just
05:29 click here and i will be redirected to the store page uh showing me only the chairs if i wanted to look for sofas uh it would show me just the sofas um so
05:43 pretty nice it worked it's really fast uh as you can see uh it's really cool really cool project um then we have of course our product pages really nice product pages actually uh
05:56 this is actually really nice i i made those light box just to let you know that you can go ahead and try yourself the card feature uh i'm telling you uh here the
06:08 everything is in test mode right so you will be allowed to check out uh enter these credit card number which is 4242 so one um
06:21 make up any expiration date any cvv code make a make up any number and you can actually preview uh what the experience of your customer could be right um in this product page we have in this product page we have
06:35 uh an information tab with the with some basic um yeah with some basic description of the yeah with some basic description of the product i'm also using this description for seo purposes another cool thing about the project
06:48 file is that once you upload a product it automatically generates all the seo data the structure data open graph data that that will allow this product and this page uh to be perfectly indexable
07:02 from uh from any uh search engine and uh beautifully shareable on social media it will automatically generate a sharing preview and so on and so forth without you having to worry about anything again
07:16 um so yeah pretty cool uh we have our main image we have our image gallery that we can click on and open in uh in a nice light box as you see uh we
07:28 have description tabs uh where you can enter actually the full review of your sorry the full description of of your product enter images even download files right like
07:42 this is uh you can enter anything here um and uh the review tab that we're gonna and uh the review tab that we're gonna probably check out in a second and but yeah let me let's try to add this uh this product to our cart and see how

11:12 order uh was completed and processed by the payment processor in this case stripe um we get redirected to a successful order page that says your order is completed
11:26 um and it's and note that all these data gets taken from the actual order so the order was placed saved into vibracar saved into our admin area and uh um

13:12 because when we started to um think about e-commerce right and on my point of view like it's a it's something that if you guys build um
13:24 a website uh for for even even if it's just for friends it's very common for someone asking uh how do i sell something on the internet right and of course we have
13:37 some services like shopify that are very famous and uh and they're and they're and don't get me wrong they're great apps they're great software uh they offer a great service but part of the fact that it gets
13:51 expensive pretty fast but um many of us they don't need all those features that like all that automatic uh marketing automations and we just need to sell
14:06 something online and sometime it gets uh under your i know the feeling sometimes there are months that maybe you don't so much and you still have that heavy like 99 monthly fee
14:18 that you have to pay even if you didn't sell much in some months you might even go in red right you sell less than your what your expenses are um this would be a fantastic solution uh for those of you
14:32 who yeah do not want to get do not want to get subscribed in one of those plans you know this is perfect i you get it once you set it up
14:44 and it's there it's going to leave on your server for as long as you want and without any monthly fee you have to you have to go with right and so
14:58 go ecwid our previous uh um project file that that's that's great you know and uh it really allows you to uh use the services and let me get rid of this yeah uh it really allows you to
15:13 um leverage the power of a leverage the power of a world-class e-commerce platform right but many times you don't need that you just don't need it you just need to uh accept
15:28 payment automatically send emails on uh on order submission with the a download link or saying we're processing your order your uh will notify you when you get shipped or
15:41 something like it right and this is a great solution um and we made it very very easy to set it up um maybe i'll move maybe i'll move and also i mean some people there are a
15:53 lot of people also that are doing like maybe a non-profit that you know they're not really bringing in a ton of money and so they don't have you know the expenditures to really pay for those monthly fees as well so they are really
16:05 looking for you know a an e-commerce solution um where they don't need to pay that monthly fee you know and i'm pretty impressed with what viprecard does actually that thank you page at the end that was pretty impressive you know
16:18 there's even you know paid services that that don't allow you to do integration like that so it's pretty slick very cool absolutely absolutely and the cool thing is that this is the cool thing is that this is i mean mercury is a it's a fantastic
16:32 product but still you can go uh you can power it up later on right yeah like if you needed some of those marketing features uh that are not there because obviously we can maybe we can make some
16:46 sort of differences uh between uh later on like about why is convenient uh to buy mercury or why is it convenient to buy go accurate and if you have if anybody in the chat has some specific case scenario that they want to point out and
17:00 ask if it would be better to go with something like ecwid or something like mercury go ahead i'm i'll be very well why don't we dive into that now so like yeah what what what would you
17:13 let's say you were you had a you know a sofa business or a let's say you go eat simple a t-shirt business or something like that right you were selling t-shirts right yeah um you know which which product would you
17:25 personally use would you go with vibracard or would you think ecwid would be a better solution i think it's not about what you sell is about what kind of business you have because um
17:38 one thing i really like about ecwid for instance is that let's say you have a local store right where you have a lot of products and maybe you have your barcodes and you have your you know
17:52 a well-structured business uh like probably with bigger numbers and bigger uh with with a a much more complex workflow with with a a much more complex workflow in general yeah i would suggest in that case to go with go ecwid and the reason
18:06 is well or equity in general uh the reason is uh equity can handle uh in a pretty good way that uh stock in general like your full stock uh
18:18 if someone gets sold online it would automatically uh update your uh stock database and if you sell something in store you can even you have obviously the ecwid app on your
18:31 phone and when once uh a product someone approaches the desk uh the the checkout desk in your store you can with your phone just scan the qr code or the bar code or whatever so echo it can be used for in-store purchasing
18:44 as well so like you can use oh interesting that's pretty powerful yeah yes yeah so that's what i'm saying like sometimes like it really depends what you're trying to do yeah and uh but once again like many times we don't
18:57 have a store we don't have a physical store or what we want to you know when we need everything to be integrated in a in a proper way we just need to sell something online right yeah and so like a digital product do you think viper
19:11 cart would excel for digital products um i think it would be fantastic yes yes because uh when merc i already wanted like since the beginning to make two different e-commerce websites
19:27 one for uh something like ecwid and one more on but like that didn't require monthly fees but honestly that the first uh the first draft of mercury was built with actually
19:40 your paypal stocks right um because and i because i wanted something smaller and something that would be just easy to upload a product and and sell it online and that's it
19:54 then i moved on to something more like a cart that had this cart feature that uh maybe paypal doesn't doesn't really have yeah and uh but still there was the problem of digital
20:07 products because you handled all of the the payment process and uh and then generate a link that would be active just for let's say i don't know 10 days a week or a few
20:20 hours well that requires some more uh sophisticated software right and uh and that's when scott came in and said hey i paid the stock that it will allow you to move data from here to here and then do that and then um
20:32 what do you think and i thought man this comes at the right time i have mercury on the way you know and i'm looking for the best possible no monthly fee
20:47 card solution and and and there it was right presented to me thank you scott again uh but yeah so that that's that kind of came at the right moment
20:59 right and uh and i moved i moved i moved that vibra car into mercury as soon as possible just because of that um
21:11 uh digital product uh feature right maybe it would be nice uh for people to uh see what the what the admin area looks like and what they can do and how it is to actually use it right and to
21:24 manage your store yep yeah i mean do you think it was clear enough the difference between something like ecwid and something like mercury i think so yeah i think it's you know ecwid is definitely built for potentially a
21:36 larger store the stock solutions you know um also i mean ecwid does have like like social purchasing like you can like sell from i've never implemented it but you can like sell your stuff through instagram and stuff like that from what i understand exactly not digital
21:50 products though be careful yes yes oh really okay yeah if you have digit if you're selling digital products even with shopify even with the most expensive solution you can find online
22:03 you cannot sell digital products on facebook instagram it's just a policy they have really and uh i never knew that yes surprise wow so be careful don't make promises to your clients that you

28:17 and and auto generates for you everything that you need right uh off site this is a stock by joe which is sort of a iframe solution right that is needed to
28:31 run the reviews system so if you're not interested in the review system i guess you can take it off but yeah uh i would it's it's a very cool system the review system uh that we're actually checking
28:46 out right now um vibracore pro stocks in they come included uh with the license inside with with the project file uh limelight stocks and section pro which limelight stocks and section pro which
28:58 are free stocks by big white duck penn stocks which is a free stock by joe and it's used for um edit mode or organization i want to say edit mode or organization i want to say because uh
29:10 it's highly organized like highly organized uh so open the project file you will be able to move around and understand what is what uh there's a
29:23 i just can't stress that enough it took me a long time to get that done and of course total cms right on top of that there are some optional stuff optional stocks that you can use to you
29:38 know enhance the uh the visibility the how your website looks uh those stocks those extra stuff that you don't necessarily need to have are paralux photo share it and page save
29:51 let's say you don't have parallax what do you do you turn it off and the system what's happening in the background without you having to do anything at all
30:04 the system reverts back to a foundation 6 solution that will make pretty much the same look of of course if you get rid of stocks of that parallax stock instead of a nice
30:19 paradox effect on some sections you would probably have just a static uh background image and that's it right but the website will be fully functional anyway and the same thing happens with photo stocks instead
30:34 of a nice photo gallery for products you can have standard total cms2 gallery and uh and so on and for each of those you have a full explanation uh right below here so you know exactly what you're
30:48 turning on or off right so go ahead and read it um then a couple of uh tips you know to make um yeah just to set it up in case you don't know how to create a mysql database

34:55 pre-filled this select options with the actual so you know inside your character viewer on your mac you can have stars as a character and it has a full full fill in star and the hollow star which is exactly what we want for
35:08 this right um so all we did is we created five different tags um with the star character right there we go
35:21 um so yeah it's just it's just the star character so a one star review is just um the black star and four white stars and so on and so forth right um so that's all that is so that's all
35:34 all that's doing is saving those stars as text into the cms pretty crazy right um it's just text and what's even more crazy is on the content side
35:47 right where when we're displaying those like he has obviously those are actual um you know icons that he's displaying of the stars right if we inspect that you'll see inside the class field because we're using
36:00 foundation 6 we all love classes we'll see that in the class field where where is the i'm looking for oh there it is tag dash it's for it's the article tag
36:13 down down down we use genre or tag yeah down down down right next two more down there we go right there if if you look in the classifier side there you'll see it's tag dash star star star star star
36:27 so it's just it's just a class and the class name has the actual stars right so pretty crazy so we just said basically you know had some swatches or something that said if you have tag dash
36:40 five black stars then show five yellow svgs right i mean it's pretty it's pretty ingenious actually when i came up with this idea i was i you know pretty blown away it was pretty fun and i'm glad we were able to do that yeah

37:33 opportunity to put all of this together because this is everything uh this is something i would want for my store and of course foundation because i know what you're gonna ask foundation box it runs on ecwid and i don't think i'm
37:46 gonna move out of equity because i'm already invested into ecwid and and it works you know you don't touch things that really work unless there was a reason of course um having no monthly fee it's definitely a good reason here
37:59 but you know for the way everything works out with like i don't i don't think i'm gonna move uh to um something like um mercury in the short term but for you guys that are looking for

38:38 maybe there is a chance to download some external plugin i don't know but you you would have to check it out could you take this review system that we've built into or you built into mercury and put it inside go ecwid would
38:51 that be possible if someone had both and they could no no oh okay no uh you could you can definitely um let's say you you want you want this feature right you won't have any comments with no monthly fees

40:55 add your first product to your page this is literally a step-by-step guide uh that we can do right now right uh to upload your product and publish
