00:00 don't know
00:09 hey everybody so in this video we're
00:11 going to be looking at the feeds video
00:14 pack that allows you to add a actual
00:17 video feed from either YouTube or Vimeo
00:19 into your feed stack in this demo here
00:22 I'm just bringing in a simple YouTube
00:24 playlist of feeds video from my YouTube
00:27 channel as you see I'm bringing in the
00:29 title and embedding each video uh within
00:32 the grid
00:33 now while we're on the product page make
00:35 sure you check out the downloads area
00:36 that has some sample data that you'll
00:39 see later on
00:42 so inside rapbeaver essentially you can
00:44 add either a YouTube or a Vimeo feed
00:48 uh you can all uh
00:51 and you'll notice that both of these
00:53 require that you set up an API key with
00:55 either YouTube or Vimeo because of how
00:58 these services are always changing how
01:00 those are set up just simply to have a
01:03 look on the community I think we have
01:04 some FAQs or just search YouTube for you
01:07 know getting YouTube API key uh and the
01:10 year because especially Google they're
01:13 always changing how the how that stuff's
01:15 going so just go ahead and YouTube there
01:18 will always be a great video out there
01:19 for setting up your API keys
01:22 so once you do that essentially you just
01:25 configure what you want you know user
01:27 uploads or whatever playlist you want
01:30 um and as always it's recommended that
01:32 you go and preview your data so that you
01:35 know exactly what data you have access
01:37 to
01:40 and with Vimeo especially they give you
01:43 a lot of data you have access to
01:46 everything and feeds gives you access to
01:48 all of that data so you have multiple
01:49 resolutions of thumbnails you have
01:51 um the number of likes you have access
01:53 to the actual user information from the
01:56 video you have access to all the tags in
01:58 the video so you really they give you
02:01 pretty much everything
02:03 and searching through this data inside
02:06 of this data preview window can be
02:08 potentially a little daunting therefore
02:11 that's what comes in with that sample
02:14 data that I told you about uh when you
02:16 download that it'll give you Json files
02:18 for both YouTube and Vimeo Vimeo is
02:21 probably the more important here because
02:22 it gives you just a copious amounts of
02:25 data for every single video
02:27 so if you were to open up these Json
02:29 files inside of a Json editor there's a
02:32 lot of very cheap Json editors on the
02:34 app store they are just text files of
02:36 what as well if you just want to look at
02:38 them as text
02:40 um but these Json editors are are really
02:42 nice so you can actually go ahead and
02:45 navigate through for example inside this
02:48 video under embed HTML that's the actual
02:51 embed code that you'd want to use right
02:53 so but here you can kind of browse the
02:56 data a little bit easier so you can
02:58 really learn and see what what data you
03:01 can extract out to build a very rich
03:04 interface
03:05 um especially for Vimeo so I'm really
03:07 not going to dive into building a layout
03:10 for each video because it's the same as
03:13 all other data structures as soon as you
03:15 know the data you can actually have a
03:18 look at the feeds demo file I've built
03:20 in simple implementations for both
03:22 YouTube and Vimeo so you can see how to
03:24 easily get the embed code put the title
03:27 and then you can access and augment
03:29 other information into these layouts as
03:31 you need so I hope you enjoy the video
03:33 pack for feeds and I can't wait to see
03:35 we build with it thanks bye
03:43 thank you"}]
