00:09 hey so in this video we're going to be
00:11 looking at how to implement the Geo
00:13 Target stacks and if you don't know what
00:15 Geo Target is essentially this allows
00:17 you to customize your content based on
00:19 the location of your website visitors
00:22 so in this example here we have Geo
00:25 country and it allows us to define a
00:28 list of countries either by country code
00:30 or country name we also have a special
00:32 case for your for the EU for those in
00:35 the EU we can say if the country is in
00:36 the European Union basically if they're
00:39 in the union display this else display
00:41 something else right so super simple
00:44 again you can you can also Define a
00:47 custom list of things so let's say I
00:50 want to do like
00:51 um the US comma Canada and Mexico so if
00:56 I just do
00:57 um the two digit codes for each country
00:59 you can define a multiple lists of
01:01 countries and basically if we're if the
01:04 person's location is in any of these
01:06 countries the contents in the top will
01:08 be displayed if they're not in those
01:11 countries the content in the bottom will
01:13 be displayed
01:14 super easy next is for preview if you
01:17 want to test you know different IP
01:19 addresses and things of that nature you
01:21 can go ahead and put your own custom IP
01:22 address in here and it will use that
01:25 inside preview
01:27 next you can force the mismatch so if
01:29 you want to testing what things look
01:31 like if it is unmatched you can go ahead
01:33 and click Force mismatch and then inside
01:36 preview uh it will force the else
01:39 content to be displayed and next up if
01:42 you're having some caching things so
01:44 basically if you change some IP address
01:45 you know and whatnot and you notice that
01:48 some of your session cache is still
01:51 there go ahead and say clear session
01:53 cache and that's something that will
01:55 just make sure it forces a Reload of the
01:57 the logic in your session so that's all
02:00 just inside preview though so if we look
02:02 at all the stacks available we have a
02:04 Geo country which again allows us to
02:06 check whether or not we are in a
02:08 particular country we also have state
02:10 and this allows us to do codes of either
02:13 States or provinces within your country
02:15 so you can either do the the name or
02:18 Province name or the two-digit
02:19 standardized two-digit character code
02:22 for your state or Province we have
02:24 geocity which allows us to do either
02:26 city name or or postal code now a little
02:30 bit of caveats with cities is obviously
02:32 those aren't necessarily going to always
02:34 be super accurate because of where isps
02:38 are and where you know my particular IP
02:40 address maps to the city next to mine so
02:43 just be careful with that
02:45 um you might want to make sure you
02:46 provide a list of cities uh so that you
02:48 can actually Target an area rather than
02:51 just a single City okay and next is Geo
02:55 cloudflare and Geo cloudflare is it
02:57 requires that you actually are using
02:58 cloudflare and it's kind of a
03:00 replacement to GEOS country so it just
03:04 basically uses cloudflare's built-in
03:06 database
03:07 um so that uh yeah you don't have to
03:09 actually you know utilize Geo country's
03:11 database which brings me to the next
03:13 feature of geotarget is that all of this
03:15 happens without using any external
03:17 Services geotarget uploads its own
03:20 database that we will make sure we keep
03:21 up to date via stack updates and
03:24 essentially it will always check and
03:26 look up an iPad addressed locally on
03:28 your server there is no connections that
03:30 ever leave your server whatsoever so
03:33 this is a great new feature of this
03:36 version of geotarget and lastly we have
03:37 a Geo info stack which is kind of here
03:39 for mostly testing purposes
03:42 um it just basically gives you the
03:43 information about the particular
03:45 connection so you can add this to the
03:47 page if you visit this webpage it'll
03:49 kind of tell you the IP address and the
03:51 City Country State information that it
03:53 finds
03:55 um based on the IP address
