01:00 and um he has a new project for us today you've probably seen it hopefully you're on his email list and he sent out a a gorgeous email um about it and uh yeah it's uh go ecwid and is the name of it i linked to it in
01:12 the email today if you haven't had a chance to look at it it is uh an absolutely beautiful just a stunner of a project and i think everyone's going to be blown away at how
01:25 awesome and easy it is to use this you know it's total cms and ecwid kind of married together um it's really awesome and i can't wait to uh for davide to show it off so thanks for coming on david i appreciate it

01:50 one uh the entire idea is making it easy for you to have an e-commerce website right because who doesn't want to sell things online right and um maybe i'll share my screen and just have a look at it and
02:06 and so maybe you have seen it already because i i actually released it uh last weekend uh so i know a few people are already like working with it and
02:19 actually i also gave it access to this project file to a couple of people that are actually they started to test it before the release um and i know their website is going pretty great i'm sure they will post it on the community once once it's done
02:32 and um so the project file is built uh it's so the project file is built uh it's called go ecwid as you said the entire idea is connecting ecwid okay it is a worldwide famous um
02:45 e-commerce platform uh to a rapid river project it's more specifically built with the foundation six stocks that's kind of what we do here and uh evcms or total cms because we have two versions right uh maybe we talk about it
02:58 a little later maybe we go in deep in what each version uh does and which one is best for you and um if you go with the pro version you will if you go with the pro version you will
03:11 also need a um seo helper choose stocks now for um so you'll have full control over the seo or your website that's always a good thing and um and obviously an equity account right that's it

03:50 bunch of things out today um just to give you a general overview of the project so you can understand where data is coming from because once again that this is like there's data coming from everywhere here right um
04:04 we have an um a nice logo nice menu with hover effects some social icons um cool thing about the social icons by the way you can toggle on and off from from the admin area so let's say you don't have you're not interested in facebook or
04:17 instagram we also have like i think i put in linkedin youtube and of course you can then personalize it yourself but you know if if you guys are interested in specific icons because you guys use specific uh
04:30 social network send me an email i can add it there straight into the admin area if you want to um we have a nice header completely controlled by total cms right the the background even the overlay that you put
04:43 on top of that background you can totally choose it from from the admin area the entire content and here we have the first uh section pulled in from the ecwid platform right so ecwid
04:56 takes charge in this section uh this is not total cms this comes straight from ecwid and we have a search bar uh where you can go through any store in your in your on your account sorry any product in
05:11 your account uh a nice category menu you know to browse throughout your store uh link that goes to the full full store of your website of your website and um this is actually just a category of your
05:23 store it's not the full store i i give you the option to be able to choose which category you prefer uh in this case i'm using the on sale category and um to actually put in the on on the home page right
05:37 highly there's highly chance you don't want the full store on your home page um if you want the full store in your on if you want the full store in your on your home page that's also an option obviously and we'll navigate through this product later
05:51 nice newsletter sign up some text area and uh controlled by total cms obviously and this is the uh the blog the blog area where the first three posts of your blog will be automatically displayed and

07:11 it's kind of designed to be very similar to the one used by ecwid but in this specific case uh you will search in the blog right not in equity because we're in the blog here and it's uh it's been very uh i we've
07:25 developed it very similar to the equity one to kind of create this consistency throughout the entire website um nice way to um go through the categories right of your website pretty cool so uh
07:38 categories topics uh of your sorry of your blog here or clear filters um and this is like a really nice blog uh and this is like a really nice blog uh layout that kind of goes well with uh
07:51 with the equity design always keeping in mind that consistency you want to have on your website and open each one of those very nice and clean set up always that ability to go
08:06 through the categories or the topics and and so on right um something i probably didn't say anything about it's this car that it's actually uh responsive to the activity you do on
08:18 your on your uh store um obviously if you put something on your car uh this will uh update the little icon up there right um what else like a nice contact form what else like a nice contact form
08:33 you know with a text header nice contact form that comes always with the with an included template you know so the even the email that people receive automatically when they submit an inquiry uh it's branded with your
08:49 with your brand with your company and um this is another button that i'll talk this is another button that i'll talk about later um maybe let's check let's check the store right [Music] this is the store uh that presents
09:01 this is the store uh that presents always the same category as the home page and then there is a more kind of visual way of displaying your category this is great especially for mobile like especially now that people honestly
09:16 browse mostly on mobile um it's a really good thing to have from the admin area though if you don't have if you don't have any cutter you don't want to use categories you just have a few products you can easily toggle this
09:29 area off okay and even the category off in case you don't want to use them um so this is the store how it's presented so this is the store how it's presented and all of these it's this is all sample data when you when you go ahead and open uh an equity account which by the way
09:44 it's free right and uh the account itself comes with a bunch of sample data like this is i didn't do anything here i just open a free account and enter the the store id into this project enter the the store id into this project
09:57 file and this is what it is this is the sample data uh in ecwid so let's say we want to um i don't know we're interested in this dress okay so uh we click on it it opens up
10:09 straight right there on the page you can browse through the images and uh in this case obviously this is a you know a clothing store like the sample the data the sample data that
10:22 equity offers its clothing store so everything it's kind of goes that way so the options we have are sizes small medium large uh price uh the the title of your product an easy way to go back to the catalog
10:36 instead you know and uh car button obviously you can easily edit you want to add some more go ahead add some more and you can go straight to the checkout um obviously this is a demo account
10:50 right so you cannot complete your your your purchase okay you can but but you get an idea of of what this is actually this is giving me seven items right here because i was previously kind of playing with it um

11:17 more complete uh idea of how this entire uh checkout process works uh when you go on foundationbox.studio and go through our store we use equity too so uh the checkout process if it's exactly the same right

12:22 this project file on a test server and um and open a different free account another free equity free account uh just to show you uh how easy it is to just uh download it how easy it is to just uh download it
12:35 from our server put it on your server and connect your ecwid account right cool so what of what of this of this page so for for those that don't understand what ecwid does right yeah
12:48 like for example this cart page you didn't need to design that right that was all kind of ecwid um you know same thing with like isn't it that product grid right there like that's kind of done by ecwid as well right you just
13:00 kind of import their their content onto your page correct that is correct 100 correct and actually uh we're going to do it today like uh since it's that fast right uh we ecwid
13:14 does gives us um the options to uh kind of design our store the way we want it everything is uh um is very customizable you know like now in this specific case i decided
13:27 well actually yeah what let's go back to the store um i decided to display four products per grid right in a row you can decide to have three maybe five
13:39 you know um i decided um i when i when i opened uh a product i wanted to have the images here on the side the main image in the center and these all this full description on
13:52 the right but there are many other options you know that yeah that's actually so this layout is controlled via the ecwid control panel exactly perfect okay cool i think the cool demo we're gonna do today like trying to set
14:05 up our store it's gonna be super cool and you see what controls what exactly uh i understand it's uh it's challenging especially for if people don't actually uh don't have a lot of experience on
14:17 um on on ecwid or total cms you know on on ecwid or total cms you know sometimes it's difficult to understand what's what because everything is so well integrated that you know uh at the end the user of your website
14:31 will never notice uh it's not like when you design you know one of the biggest problem with wordpress in general is that uh you design your website and then you need like 15 plugins done for 15 different developers and you kind of put
14:44 them together and they all look different right like you have this collage kind of website that doesn't make sense and anyway and so this is very well integrated all together um
14:58 actually you know this is um uh the test i upload the i downloaded from from our own store uh the uh ecwid go ecwid pro project file downloaded it
15:11 upload it on these tests dot colorado.com and so we can actually start checking it out and this is exactly what you see when you upload the website on your on your server it's pretty much the same there are a
15:26 few things that are different um one a couple of things that i um should probably you should probably check out uh that are oh no actually i still haven't changed the store here so they're just a few details different
15:39 yeah okay okay so this is just a copy of what we just saw right um so what i'm going to do now is show you the admin area of this project so you're going to see what's on the admins right um
15:53 at the bottom here all our projects tend to have the access to the admin area at the bottom of uh of the footer um by the way you can see uh this project file as it is this goes with project
16:06 file that we just went through on gowaquid.foundationbox that's the uh preview of our of of the project file right so um now let's move to which is exactly the same project file
16:22 and let's go through some edits here you can have in the admin area um so uh as soon as you log into the admin so uh as soon as you log into the admin area you have a step-by-step guide uh to set it all up okay it's going to be
16:35 to set it all up okay it's going to be extremely fast i mean this is this is kind of the nine steps you have to go through to publish the webs it's very very very easy um some necessary
16:47 stocks as i was telling you before um foundation six seo helper just for the pro version though um uh limelight and section pro would kind of make the admin area possible right those are free stocks by big boy tuck
17:00 pen stock which is a free stock by joe actually and that's used kind of to uh put some order inside the edit mode of the project inside rapidweaver and check
17:15 it out later and an acute account um setup guide and this is pretty much the most important information that the website needs to function right so you need a website name go ecwid in this
17:29 case uh and this is used throughout the website in in some small places where you you actually need the the name of the website uh the store id and this is a very easy to find store id
17:42 you have access to your store id when you open connect with account and this is the home page the homepage category id so if you go if we go back to that website as we were saying before this is on the home page of your website this is
17:55 now the full store right it's just a category that you pick you know and if you don't pick any category well then the the full store is going to be displayed there um let's not keep any category for this one
18:07 let's not keep any category for this one and uh and as i told you before yesterday i and as i told you before yesterday i opened another free um ecwid account and this is pretty much what you see
18:20 when you uh open a free account account same kind of concept you have this uh very easy to go through uh setup list no it's honestly they've won prices for this okay they uh
18:32 they they have the mo one of the most user interface uh well user friendly interface that i ever seen it's really easy really intuitive everything it's set up for you
18:45 it's pretty awesome uh i didn't touch anything of these new ecwid account i really wanted you to see uh how easy it is to go from a zero to an operational website um the only thing i
19:00 did is i changed the the images of those sample products because those would be exactly the same as the ones that are uploaded on the on the preview website so now that we're gonna move from one uh account to the
19:12 other uh if uh we wouldn't see any difference so i had to change the pictures for you to actually see the difference but that's everything i did right just change those pictures and if you if you already have
19:24 if you if you already have an equity account that's going to be incredibly easy you don't even have to touch it you know you just have to copy the store id which you find at the bottom left of your of every liquid
19:39 page right so what i'm going to do is copy this restore id go back in my admin area and paste it i'm going to save
19:52 and uh well let's go back let's go back to our test at holland or studio obviously there's some caching going on here
20:08 boom there you go and you won't believe it but that's it you won't believe it but that's it
20:21 you know all the information all the data in your ecwid account are now automatically imported inside uh inside your website
20:34 and everything is there your price is like if we go ahead now let's say you know let's take these simple sunglasses that are not sunglasses anymore obviously um yeah yeah i changed just uh the first image not
20:49 all of them um let's say this is like a cute plant let's say okay and it's well that's a very over expensive plant um let's let's let's
21:01 let's leave it at 17 in uh change that let's go really cheap 5 and uh we hit save and let's go back to our test website to see

21:42 comes uh with some specific setting set so uh let's now jump into the ecwid uh platform and see how you can make those changes and really like
21:55 give it the structure you want uh to the entire thing um there's also by default uh this bar at there's also by default uh this bar at the bottom of of your store because that's kind of how ecwid works
22:07 uh it's i don't think this bar would be useful for a rapidweaver website if you want it's right there you know it doesn't make any harm uh kind of gives you a fast links to uh to the view to
22:22 the various features that we offer uh but you know for instance the shopping bag why would you need it it's already up here right uh your favorites which is another cool feature that i want to talk to you about uh truck order let's say you want to keep a
22:36 truck order let's say you want to keep a record of your order and my account but all those features are already built in to your menu up there so there's the sign in button and the car is right there so

23:03 um someone was wondering if you can somehow integrate like someone want to use let's say my magnifico stack on the product page right um i don't believe since like since ecwid controls all of the images for the products um i don't
23:17 believe that's possible yeah but there are solutions uh okay i'm gonna get there okay okay cool once again this is a world-class platform ecwid is definitely like a powerhouse of
23:31 features things you can do it's super flexible actually the reason why we use ecwid is that it's extremely flexible uh i i i believe you like
23:43 people can like use ecwid even for uh orders at the restaurant you know i know people they use ecwid to power the orders delivery and so on at a restaurant so you know uh very flexible they even
23:58 handle subscriptions they like there's people using equity for uh let's say uh charging a monthly subscription to clients uh it's very very flexible so any case scenario you have there's a solution for
24:11 you and the way ecwid is integrating in this project file allows you uh do you really use all those features do you really use all those features within equity which is actually
24:23 yeah um so let's move into this place uh into the ecwid uh cpanel and uh uh as we see like we have i won't go uh as we see like we have i won't go through all of those options obviously
24:37 but um as you see like the dashboard it's kind of your uh you have your setup uh guide that you can go through and just the detail maybe over this setup guide ecwid since it's such a big platform they do
24:51 offer uh they call it instant website okay basically if you have no knowledge at all and you don't have a way to build your own website ecwid does give you
25:03 some templates they're really basic they're not what you think uh they don't work as as you would think they are it's uh the go act with project it's far better than whatever equity can come up with
25:16 and uh well yeah i mean website what uh well yeah i mean website what creating websites isn't their core competency it's all about selling and managing the e-commerce and the checkout process and all that so that makes sense but it's it's nice for you you know
25:28 obviously it makes sense for them to have that as an option right for users that are going to them and don't have a website they need a website right yep exactly and so i mean there are a lot of different people that use equity for
25:41 different reasons so yeah it makes sense for them to give that option but you're much better off with uh with the go ecwid and uh so when you set up your website and storefront as they call it you know the your all
25:55 your your main store they kind of call it storefront you it's all your products right there and to set it up they will ask you do you want to use an instant website or do you already have a website well in this case you already have a
26:07 website if you're trying to set it up you have to click i already have a website and what they will ask you is where that store is located right so you will need to enter a url okay and just so you know the
26:20 um i wouldn't uh enter the url of the of i wouldn't uh enter the url of the of the home page because that's not your that's not your storefront that's not your main store uh remember your main
26:33 store it's under in the store tab so um this is probably the url i would submit there uh which is in this case uh test.holalurostudio.com but that will be your domain obviously
26:47 slash store and that's that's what i would copy and paste into the uh into the setup we're not gonna do the setup now obviously we're gonna go through features but it's just a good
27:00 information to have um so i was before in catalog where you so i was before in catalog where you have your full list of products in this place we're going to add add new products edit products manage them and
27:12 so on you can import products if you have a store located in some with some other companies or stuff you can actually import or export products whatever you want um
27:25 categories of of course uh and if you remember we did talk about categories before they are in that menu inside you go equity project files um when you open a free uh well a new open
27:38 a new um ecwid account it doesn't have any categories i mean why would it right it's definitely something you would have to edit anyway but if you notice uh there is no category here even if we go into the go ecwid
27:52 even if we go into the go ecwid there you remember the work categories in the in the project file here men women i were on sale and there's none here and uh since this is all information that gets
28:06 pulled out of ecwid we will have to create our own category which is pretty basic you just you know i don't know how to divide in categories bound size which i don't know
28:19 anything about bonsais but um let's call them uh new bone signs new bone signs is that how you spell cells i'm pretty sure that's how you spell it yeah okay so we can create a category called a new
28:32 so we can create a category called a new bonsai and another one called uh i don't know cobra guy let's go with
28:48 there we go so we just created those two and you can easily add products uh to those uh to this category you can enable enable or disable the category you can add a category description an

29:43 um this this comes honestly really you they look really beautiful on mobile and so so i think they're useful i will leave them there if you don't like them you can remove them from the admin area um and there are different things you
29:56 can do with this uh you saw how you can upload a picture for each category right um you can leave it as it is no picture and equity will automatically try to do some nice gradients actually
30:10 based on the colors of your store so it's already pretty cool there but if you want to have like a background image for this specific square uh you can you can move the the title of the
30:23 category at the center top bottom below the square i mean there are many options and actually let's go there let's see how actually let's go there let's see how how cool this is i'm going to design uh
30:35 to the design section of akrit inside this is the ecwid platform right um and here we have some uh design options for our store okay and uh let's go through it because it's really fast so here uh you kind of
30:50 decide what's the size of the image so right now i i have set it to medium which generates these um four products great okay and if you go too large it's gonna be
31:03 three products with a slightly bigger image if you go too small it's going to be smaller and this is once again this is right there like if i select small and go back here go back here
31:18 see i mean this is this happens on the spot hopefully you see how powerful this is and uh it's pretty awesome uh you can decide it's pretty awesome uh you can decide
31:32 the optic ratio so i don't want a square or many other options here for instance it's when you decide uh the the
31:45 the the the text orientation so maybe i want to allow a line to the left uh or line to the center or justify content um you can decide to display or not
31:58 display the frame of you know that you can barely see here if you do it on your computer you'll definitely notice there's a frame around the image when it's enabled and when it's disabled
32:12 and gets taken away and can decide what to display in your product list you know product name etc etc price so i'm not interested in showing the s

32:52 were looking at before so as you see we can say to stick the thing to the to the bottom or displayed below the image of the category hide category images completely and

33:19 layout of the product of each um of each of each product when you click on it right so now it's set up to open the images at the bottom of the main one and having the description on the side but many other things you could do like just
33:32 by clicking away see like some of the those information change two columns maybe you want the description on the left image on the right uh or maybe you have three columns
33:45 you know many things you could do many things you could do uh image gallery thumbnail horizontal maybe image gallery thumbnail horizontal maybe you want it vertical has it set up this is the way it's actually set up in our preview uh

37:29 uh in the checkout process they will enter their their address uh hit enter you would know where they are you can set up uh different uh areas in your ecwid inside inside this
37:42 uh this area and uh there are many things you can do they automatically calculate how expensive it's gonna be to uh to ship it there it will be added at the price of the
37:56 product at checkout they would pay you'll get the same you will get the notification you could go ahead and print right from ecwid the the qr code and all the all the data the qr code and all the all the data
38:09 needed to ship the products and uh but it doesn't get easier than that honestly um a cool thing that you might want to a cool thing that you might want to check out and of course you can you can handle anything like taxes legal uh notification invoices
38:23 everything everything that everything is covered it's a complete uh it's definitely a complete application this way nice and a cool thing that a you might want to check out
38:35 too because it's there ecwid offers apps you know uh those are third-party developers uh building apps to work inside your
38:48 equity e-commerce store and since the the con the integration with go ecwid it's really direct those apps uh i haven't tried them all i have tried just a few of them
39:02 but uh they work meaning there are so if you want to expand your your uh you know your overview of your store you want to have more analytics you have i mean everything is divided in sections here so let's say marketing
39:14 let's see what they have and all of this some of them are free some of them are uh you have to pay for them but they kind of expand the reach of your store they integrate without a
39:26 company they even have a store design section now uh if you want to try them go ahead there might be some issue here and there
39:39 because i'm using some uh custom css to kind of edit a few things of of your store i want to say before using ops try to i want to say before using ops try to set up your store using the the control panel here ecwid
