00:10 hey everybody so in this video we're
00:11 going to be looking at one of the new
00:13 features of Pi 2 and that is the pi
00:15 autosave stack and essentially what it
00:18 does is have you ever been to a form a
00:21 long form let's say you spend a lot of
00:23 time filling out that form and then
00:25 maybe you accidentally hit the back
00:27 button or you close your brows window by
00:30 accident and when you go back you've
00:32 lost
00:33 everything Pi autosave helps you with
00:36 all of that so essentially in this
00:38 example um there's one setting inside Pi
00:41 autosave by default it will save all
00:43 fields in your form however if you want
00:46 if you don't want that you can uncheck
00:47 that and then you can provide a comma
00:49 delimited list of input names that you
00:52 want to autosave and again these names
00:55 are the actual names of the form fields
00:57 that you'd like to use
01:00 so here we have a form and let's just go
01:02 ahead and fill this form
01:04 out and uh let's just add in a little
01:07 bit of text into here and I'm going to
01:09 close this window it is closed okay and
01:13 uh I'm just going to open up preview
01:14 again just so you can see right there
01:16 boom and what you see is when I when I
01:18 launched this uh screen or I I Clos the
01:22 browser window I reopened it and all
01:25 that text that I added was restored now
01:28 what's great is once a for form is
01:30 submitted uh that data will be cleared
01:33 from the browser none of this data gets
01:35 ever sent to the server it only lives
01:37 inside the browser so we don't have to
01:39 worry about any sort of uh you know gdpr
01:42 or cookies or anything like that all
01:44 this data is only stored in the user's
01:47 browser and once the form is submitted
01:49 to your server or wherever the form
01:52 submits to um that data will be cleared
01:54 from the
01:55 browser so yeah I hope you enjoy Pi
