00:06 hello everyone this is Joe workman and
00:09 today I'd like to introduce you to the
00:10 place holder stack now the place holder
00:12 stacked is really simple basically it
00:15 allows you to add in random images into
00:18 your web page mock-ups this is a great
00:21 way if you're designing a sample web
00:23 page for a customer or you just want to
00:24 you know throw an image on a page you
00:26 don't know exactly what you want yet
00:29 it's a great way of just randomly
00:30 throwing images out there and it uses
00:33 two different services so when you add
00:35 the stack to the page you can configure
00:37 your store your service right now we're
00:39 going to use the place image service you
00:41 can define the width and height of the
00:44 image that you would like to be
00:45 displayed you can check whether or not
00:47 you want that image to be responsive
00:50 okay then you can also ensure unique now
00:53 if you have multiple images on the page
00:57 that are they're going to be the same
00:58 size if you don't check the insure
01:01 unique chances are the browser is going
01:04 to actually use the same images for
01:06 every single one because as it downloads
01:08 the first image it will realize that the
01:10 other URLs are exactly the same and it's
01:13 gonna use the cached version and it'll
01:15 use the same image it'll be a little bit
01:16 faster but if you do want to ensure
01:19 unique images make sure you check insure
01:21 unique now for place image we have
01:25 categories you can select what category
01:27 and if you want to actually apply a
01:29 filter to the image you know you can
01:31 actually apply a black and white filter
01:33 or a sepia filter okay now if we were to
01:37 choose the service of place hold it as
01:39 you'll notice we get a completely
01:41 different look and feel
01:42 right it's still defined the width and
01:44 height whether or not you want it to be
01:45 responsive but now it's basically a very
01:49 basic image where you have a solid
01:51 colored background and then some text
01:54 now by default the text will actually be
01:57 the width and height of that image but
02:00 you can actually define a custom text so
02:03 that you can actually define your own
02:04 text within the image now while this
02:06 looks you know like actually just pretty
02:09 much like a styled in with some text it
02:12 actually is an image on the web page so
02:15 that's it that's placeholder I hope you
02:17 enjoy it and have a great day thanks
02:19 bye-bye
