00:36 hey everybody let's go ahead and have a
00:39 look at the printer stack and see how it
00:41 behaves a little bit better than my
00:42 printer over there
00:45 so here's the demo file that shifts with
00:47 printer and we have to two columns here
00:49 two simple layouts and we're just gonna
00:51 print them and see what they look like
00:52 so let's go ahead and click this print
00:53 this section button and what we'll
00:56 notice is a couple things first off we
00:58 don't get the entire web page right we
01:00 only print the section that we wanted to
01:03 print this section with all of its
01:04 content and then we actually injected an
01:08 image into the print that wasn't even
01:10 there on the web page so this shows that
01:13 we can actually go ahead and inject
01:15 content and remove content from what we
01:18 want printed when someone prints using
01:21 the print stack now on the right column
01:23 we'll notice that we have a form and
01:24 what we do here is I'm actually using
01:26 the PI stack that will allow us when we
01:29 print this form instead of showing the
01:30 data as a form it actually displays the
01:34 data as if it was normal text and layout
01:36 on the page and we'll see here is I'm
01:38 also injecting that image so let's hop
01:41 into rack Weaver and see exactly how
01:42 easy this is right so here at the top I
01:45 have a print style stack and this is
01:48 actually what we can use to force our
01:51 Styles to be more print friendly right
01:54 so we can force black and white and if
01:56 you notice when we printed this left
01:57 column a while on the web page this
02:00 particular paragraph here was black
02:02 background in white text it actually
02:05 printed with no background in black text
02:07 this makes the content much more printer
02:10 friendly but you can turn that behavior
02:12 off next the next option the print style
02:14 stack is to append URLs to links so if
02:17 we were to go ahead and print the
02:19 preview again and actually let's open it
02:21 in preview this time so we can see it
02:22 and if we look at the link that was on
02:25 this web page you'll notice that the
02:27 printer stack actually appends the
02:29 actual URL that is being linked to to
02:32 the content this is important because if
02:34 we're printing this to actual physical
02:35 paper
02:36 um the URL is important to know if you
02:39 want your readers to know that
02:40 information so let's look at the rest of
02:42 the snacks here we have a print button
02:43 stack there's seven stacks that
02:45 currently ship with the printer stack um
02:47 there's print styles which we just
02:49 talked about the print button stack the
02:52 print button stack allows you to add any
02:54 button you want into it right so it's
02:56 just a drag-and-drop container whatever
02:57 button or link
02:58 add into the print button stack it will
03:00 magically turn it into a print button
03:03 and within this print button you can
03:05 define whether or not you want to print
03:07 the entire Stax content um this a
03:10 particular section a print section which
03:13 you can use the print the print section
03:15 stack or you can print the entire web
03:17 page okay so that's up to you next
03:20 you'll notice that we have both print
03:21 hide and print show stacks this allows
03:24 us to either hide content from print or
03:26 show content from print okay so for
03:30 example in this image I wanted to show
03:32 this image only when we are printing so
03:34 I added this image into the print show
03:36 stack and lastly is the print page break
03:39 and wherever you add this into your page
03:42 this produces zero content on your web
03:44 page but what this will do is it'll
03:46 actually cause a page break when we
03:49 print this web page so as you see the
03:52 printer stack is really simple to use
03:54 very powerful at the same time and it
03:56 gives us a lot of functionality that
03:58 we've never had before so go out there
