00:00 hey everyone German here and today I'm
00:01 really excited to introduce you to the
00:04 new seems stack
00:07 so I know you visited probably tons of
00:09 websites that have these really
00:10 interesting shapes and diagonal lines
00:13 and curves and circles that kind of
00:16 divide the content within a website
00:18 right really nice until now it was kind
00:21 of tricky to do this inside rapidweaver
00:23 there wasn't any really simple way to do
00:26 that
00:26 well happy to say that that's exactly
00:28 what seems does it's super easy to use
00:31 super fun and you're gonna love it
00:34 so here we have a nice-looking little
00:36 demo website right it's nice it's just
00:39 kind of a run-of-the-mill it's not going
00:40 to win any huge design awards but it's a
00:42 decent looking page however if you
00:45 notice there's a lot of straight lines
00:48 hard edges in between every single
00:50 section so how can we take this existing
00:53 web page and make it even better using
00:55 seams this looks a lot nicer doesn't it
00:59 you'll notice that seams allows us to
01:01 give this nice curvature to actually
01:03 give you a nice transition between this
01:05 not this impact stack and the content
01:08 below it's not just a harsh straight
01:10 line that you see everywhere else on the
01:12 web now if we look at this area we've
01:14 done something a little bit different
01:16 with scenes instead of it just having a
01:18 way of transitioning between the two
01:20 sections of content seams is actually
01:22 floating behind the content to give us a
01:25 completely different look
01:27 now here in this example we're
01:28 overlaying multiple seam stacks to give
01:31 us a really beautiful wave effect on top
01:34 of this impact so as you see just by
01:37 adding just adding seams to this web
01:39 page it really makes a huge impact on
01:42 the design it's really transformed a
01:44 website into something completely
01:47 different much more modern and just a
01:49 lot more fun now let's dive into wrapper
01:52 and see how easy seams is to use so here
01:55 we are inside rapidweaver and what I'm
01:56 gonna do is I'm gonna have a seam inside
01:59 this blue section here that gives us a
02:01 nice transition in between these three
02:03 sections so right now we're simply gonna
02:05 add a seam stack to the page no one want
02:08 to make sure I add content to the bottom
02:09 and I also want to have a seam on the
02:11 bottom so that gets us all set up now
02:13 I'm gonna go ahead and add this
02:15 foundation column I don't need the color
02:17 in here since scene takes care of that
02:19 so I'm going to turn off the color there
02:20 and at the top we're gonna add a scene
02:23 and he's see here we have a huge amount
02:26 of scenes that you can play with I'm
02:27 gonna go ahead and add an angle up at
02:29 the top and as you see here in the
02:31 setting we have a lot of controls to
02:33 manipulate these angles in real time
02:37 directly inside edit mode now I'm gonna
02:39 want to add a seam to the bottom let's
02:41 go ahead and add a slant and we want to
02:45 mirror this seam so that it the blue
02:47 part is on the top since we are on the
02:49 bottom here and as you see here I can go
02:51 ahead and edit this line to be exactly
02:54 how I want it to look and feel and if we
02:57 see in preview we're done we this seams
03:00 gives us a much more interesting look
03:02 and feel to our websites then what we
03:04 can do with just the default
03:05 out-of-the-box tax by breaking things up
03:08 and not having straight lines all over
03:10 the place now there are so many things
03:13 that we can do with the seam stack here
03:15 I've changed this transition slightly so
03:17 we have two s curves one on the top and
03:19 one on the bottom to give us a
03:20 completely different style if we scroll
03:23 down here we using the the torn paper
03:25 seems to give us a very interesting
03:28 effect
03:29 now if you're ever doing a tribute
03:31 website to Dracula this is the exact
03:33 theme and color combination that you're
03:35 gonna want and you'll notice here this
03:38 is a beautiful seam silhouette that we
03:40 have of a grass area with some
03:42 butterflies and some flowers this is
03:44 pretty amazing I'm sure you've checked
03:46 out the seam demo which really showcases
03:48 some beautiful ways of using seams here
03:51 we've seen a couple ways of overlaying
03:52 on top of images here we're taking or
03:56 actually taking things to an empty Gris
03:58 and really thinking outside the box this
04:00 entire landscape here is built using
04:03 seams the kind of extra abstract clouds
04:06 and hills in the grass area and the Sun
04:09 this entire landscape is built using
04:12 seam stack here we have angles going
04:15 through a group of photos and here's
04:17 just a gallery of tons of different and
04:19 this isn't even all of the available
04:21 options that we have just to give you a
04:23 small sample of the seams that are
04:25 available to you now I've heard back
04:28 from initial testers it seems that they
04:31 say seams is dangerous because they
04:33 can't stop playing with it
04:34 it's just that much fun now one thing I
04:37 haven't mentioned is actually as you're
04:38 adjusting all those sliders for seams
04:40 it's actually creating dynamically an
04:43 inline SVG on-the-fly to use inside
04:47 seams now this is important because that
04:50 means your seams are going to be crystal
04:52 clear and sharp across every device and
04:55 they'll scale beautifully across mobile
04:58 all the way the desktop so that the seam
05:01 looks exactly how you would expect it to
05:03 look on every device so pick up a copy
05:06 of seams today and make sure that you
05:08 share how your jazzing up your website
05:10 with seams over on Weaver space we'll
05:13 see over there talk to you soon bye"}]
