About Stacks Guru

Stacks Guru is born from the need to search the vast number of videos out there on stacks built for Stacks Pro and the Stacks 5 plugin for Rapidweaver.

We have scraped over 500 videos to get the transcripts for each in order to make the spoken word searchable.

Please use this free tool to help you learn and discover the awesome power that Stacks and the stacks made for Stacks have to offer.

0:02 let's get visitors interacting with each
0:03 other on your website hey everybody Joe
0:14 workmen here and in this video I want to
0:16 introduce you to the new comments to
0:18 stack it is a wonderful way of
0:21 integrating discuss in Facebook
0:24 commenting systems into your existing
0:26 remover websites now you can add
0:29 comments to static web pages or you can
0:32 even integrate it with the new total CMS
0:34 blog as well so let's jump in and see
0:37 some of the great features of the comic
0:39 to stack so here we are on the discuss
0:42 preview site and we're going to jump
0:44 through and just show you some examples
0:45 of what comments can do for you so
0:49 quickly we're going to go over to the
0:50 discuss page and this is just a generic
0:53 static web page that you can add a
0:56 discuss stack to now let's say for
0:59 example a great use for this is if you
1:01 have a product page or maybe a services
1:03 page and you want your the ability for
1:05 your users or your visitors to add
1:08 comments or reviews and interact with
1:11 each other directly on your website this
1:14 is a great way to do that with the
1:16 discuss stack and the same thing goes
1:19 with Facebook the facebook common stock
1:22 allows you to integrate directly into
1:24 Facebook and what's awesome is that when
1:27 customers post here with a Facebook
1:29 comment stack they can also check the
1:32 also post on Facebook box which will
1:35 then post to their timeline so that they
1:38 can actually interact and get some
1:39 social networking going on all within
1:42 Facebook now if we go back to the
1:45 homepage here on the preview site you'll
1:48 notice down here at the bottom I have
1:49 discussed counts in facebook counts
1:51 these are dedicated count stacks to
1:54 allow you to display the number of
1:57 comments for that particular page right
2:01 and then if you click on these links it
2:03 takes you directly to that discussed
2:05 thread or facebook thread directly on
2:08 the web page now next up is our
2:10 integration directly with total
2:12 CMS blog total CMS blog is a great
2:16 solution for your blogging needs as well
2:18 as your entire CMS platform right and
2:21 now with the comments tax we can easily
2:24 integrate comments directly into our
2:26 total CMS blogs as we see here I have a
2:29 blog list and you'll notice that I have
2:31 a comments counter directly inside the
2:34 blog list stack and then if I were to
2:37 click on that it would take me to the
2:39 blog post page and directly to the
2:42 commenting thread at the bottom of my
2:44 post and of course we have the same
2:46 integration for our facebook comments
2:48 tack you can integrate the facebook
2:50 account directly into your blog list and
2:53 then when you click on that you can
2:54 actually go directly to the blog post
2:56 and see your comment thread right there
2:59 on the blog post page as you see the
3:01 comments tax have a great use case for
3:04 the blog as well as non blog pages now
3:07 there are a bunch of settings for you
3:10 know what theme light or dark theme and
3:12 you know how many comments do you want
3:13 to display by default and all of that
3:15 information and make sure you check our
3:17 more in-depth tutorial on the discuss
3:19 common stacks and a separate video on
3:21 the facebook comments tax if you want to
3:24 see more options and how to configure
3:26 them ok but for now I hope you enjoy
3:29 this really simple overview of the
3:31 common stack and you see all the great
3:33 things that it can provide for you so go
